We open the door, only to feel the wetness of the water beneath you, flooding problems kept flowing in our environment—walking through water, water dripping all over you. It’s already normal, a normal occurrence that the society faces, especially in places that frequently meet flooding. How does this hardly affects one’s life? Particularly in education?
Macabebe and Masantol, municipalities who suffers every single year with their biggest problem, Flooding. In our daily lives, we face hardships and struggle to keep up, like students who cope up with their studies. Learners in these kinds of areas are surely struggling with keeping up with their education, most of school classrooms aren’t functional, which leads to suspension of classes. As they stop educating physically, students lack in understanding and learning even with basic subjects. It is challenging to educate themselves when they’re having a hard time within the community.
It is not surprising when they take tests, majority of them fails. If they go through this annually, then, why not find other ways for learners to keep going? As Willet I. Perez, the Cluster 7 Chairperson recommended effective alternative ways to conduct whenever we learn in our homes are Online Classes that are still led by Teachers, Modulars, and Video based presentations. It probably wouldn’t be easy, but at least students wouldn’t rumble their minds by themselves.

However, us citizens must act, not only the Government. If we stick in this big of a problem, how will we escape this humongous hole of dilemmas that strikes every part of us? Ma’am Willet, also mentioned about the resilience of schools to come up with solutions within implementing ways to make changes. Not only the Government and School authorities can address these issues, but also us students. Voicing out for a much better and a much brighter futures with our alma matters.
We’re not just improving our education system, but also us students. Nothing can stop us with aiming, with studying. Whatever we go through, we must hold on. Holding on with our promises with ourselves with finishing studies, ending up with a Diploma. What a problem flooding is, high tides and low tides—like us, we may be in our highest and in our lowest—yet, I hope to achieve a flooding success.
